About Me

My photo
I am Sarah, a stay at home mom of two wonderful, little boys. In my life before kids I was a fifth grade teacher. I now work with first year teachers, which I love. Creating is one of the ways I stay sane. I become very cranky if I have not stamped or scrapped in a while. Join me on this creative journey.

Beate's Weekend Challenge

Happy, happy Friday. Thanks to all who have passed along well wishes for the pink eye. I have to report that it was not getting any better so I went back to the doctor who after laughing at me (yes I look that bad) gave me an oral antibiotic. It seems to be working. I look like I am either stoned or have been crying for days. Take your pick. On to Beate's challenge. I have to say I am on the fence. I think I like it. I have never done a card using just two colors (yes there is a name for that, but I can't spell it and I am too lazy to get the dictionary) I don't usually use retired stamp sets but if there was any one stamp set that was all me this one was it! I used Riding Hood Red as the base and then used the designer paper Patterns in Riding Hood Red. I stamped First in Fashion in Riding Hood Red and embellished using rhinestone brads. You can't tell but I used dimensionals when I adhered this part onto the card. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

LOL! Monochromatic! You're so funny! I can't tell you how many times I've changed a word on a scrapbook page because I didn't know how to spell it! LOL! Great card, BTW!
