About Me

My photo
I am Sarah, a stay at home mom of two wonderful, little boys. In my life before kids I was a fifth grade teacher. I now work with first year teachers, which I love. Creating is one of the ways I stay sane. I become very cranky if I have not stamped or scrapped in a while. Join me on this creative journey.

Ready for the New Year

I did it, I organized my life! Well sort of. This week I had a list of things I wanted to clean and organize. I did the kitchen, both boys' rooms, the play room and this is the big one, my craft/office. It feels so good to start the new year out this way. As I was cleaning I had a bit of an epiphany. I store all of my cardstock in 12 x 12 holders, the problem is sometimes I can't tell what color the SU paper is, so here is my solution. I am going to order each family of colors and punch a circle from each color and make myself some charts. Ingenious, right? Okay, so most of you probably already do this, it just took me a bit longer to figure out. LOL Once I was done cleaning I really wanted to make something. I am always in need of a birthday card for a five year old boy, so this is what I came up with. I started with a base of Bravo Burgundy. I layered a piece of designer paper from K&Company, I stamped the spaceship from the On Land set in Whisper White. I masked it and stamped the stars and then clear embossed them. I poked two holes and used sewing thread to attach the happy birthday. Easy and pretty cute. (if I do say so myself) :) Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.
All Supplies SU except the designer paper.
