About Me

My photo
I am Sarah, a stay at home mom of two wonderful, little boys. In my life before kids I was a fifth grade teacher. I now work with first year teachers, which I love. Creating is one of the ways I stay sane. I become very cranky if I have not stamped or scrapped in a while. Join me on this creative journey.

The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenge

Hello friends. I sure hope all is well. Things have been a bit hectic here, if you are interested I have a 6 1/2 year old and a 3 year old for sale. :) Okay I am kidding ( a little) but I have to tell you my boys are putting me through the wringer lately. They are both going through some kind of stage that are not very positive ones. I feel like all I do is put out fires. Which is why I am so happy that I have this hobby of mine to keep me sane. I hope we all get through this in one piece. BIG SIGH and now on to my layouts. The challenge over at The Pink Elephant was to use your favorite colors and embellishments, well if you know me you know that my favorite color is orange, but my son's favorite color is green and I wanted to scrap these cute pictures of him when we went to the Providence Children's Museum. Now here is the thing about embellishments and me, I don't usually use conventional ones. I never think they go with my pages, but I do use things like paper and punches on my pages. Here I dug out all of my circle punches and went to town on this super cute collection from Bo Bunny. Here is another tidbit of info about me, I AM OUT OF ADHESIVE. Yup, totally everything, glue dots, tape runners, scor tape, you name it I am out. The only thing I could find was a very old tape runner that is a removable one, which honestly never made sense to me. So if it looks like my things are falling off my page, well they kinda are. Once I get my life organized I will hop over to the craft store but for now I had to make due. Anyway, you know I can never just make a single 12 x 12 so here is the companion. Here is Reid playing at the museum. Be sure to stop by The Pink Elephant and check out the rest of the team's layouts. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

I have no experience with 6 1/2 year-olds, but I thought age 3 was going to kill me. It was as if my child became possessed at the very moment he turned 3 and then became sweet again at 3 1/2. 4 has brought it's own challenges as well...parenting has to be one of the hardest jobs in the world! Ha!

What a fun layout! I love the colors and the details are great! With your talent you really should consider entering the challenges over at Papercraft Star http://www.papercraftstar.blogspot.com they are offering a lot of prizes right now too! Oh and they post all of their challenges weeks in advance to give crafters a head start!
