About Me

I am Sarah, a stay at home mom of two wonderful, little boys. In my life before kids I was a fifth grade teacher. I now work with first year teachers, which I love. Creating is one of the ways I stay sane. I become very cranky if I have not stamped or scrapped in a while. Join me on this creative journey.

I made this little Valentine treat for a friend of mine. The tent is super easy to make. I started with a 9 1/4 by 4 1/4 piece of Pink Pirouette. I scored at 4 and 5 1/4. I then folded the box and attached Velcro at the top. I used Very Vanilla for the scallop border. The stamp on the scallop border is from Hero Arts and the hanging cherries and the sentiment are from studio g. I used my 1 1/4 circle punch for the hanging cherries.
Okay, here is a side story about the candy that I put inside the pouch. I knew that I wanted to send some chocolate but I didn't want to eat it, so when I was at the UPS store I asked (okay accosted) a random woman if she would like some chocolate. She looked at me like I was crazy until I told her that I was on a diet. She took it. G-d bless her! Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

This is very cute. I love the hanging cherries. Also, I'm impressed with your willpower (and determination) to not eat the chocolate yourself. :) I can only imagine the look on her face when you tried to convince her to take free chocolate. But it is good for you and good for her. Win-win!
