About Me

I am Sarah, a stay at home mom of two wonderful, little boys. In my life before kids I was a fifth grade teacher. I now work with first year teachers, which I love. Creating is one of the ways I stay sane. I become very cranky if I have not stamped or scrapped in a while. Join me on this creative journey.

Coaster Box

I have been playing with more of my Elemental Doodles stuff. One of the new sets that I have been playing with is Just a Note. I kept looking at the stamps and the new coasters I was sent and then I had a great idea. I would make a box to hold pens. How cool is that? I started with4 4x4 coasters. I cut two of them in half and used two for the sides and one for the bottom. (the last half I didn't use) The other two I kept whole. I covered all of the coasters in Whisper White cardstock, I sanded the sides to make them smooth. I inked up the inkspot and stamped all over. I then used my sponge to distress it a little bit. I colored the pen image with markers before I stamped it and then cut it out. I used my EK Success ribbon to hold the box together. In the middle the sentiment says "right next door or miles apart, friends are always close at Heart" instead of dotted i's there are hearts. :) I am so pleased with it. Let me know what you think. Don't forget to check out Elemental Doodles for all of there awsome stamps and coasters too. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

I thought it was a fabric bag too, great job covering the coasters. I love the idea of cutting the coasters down because this makes a great size box.

What a cute idea. This would make a GREAT addition to a note card Christmas gift set.
