About Me

My photo
I am Sarah, a stay at home mom of two wonderful, little boys. In my life before kids I was a fifth grade teacher. I now work with first year teachers, which I love. Creating is one of the ways I stay sane. I become very cranky if I have not stamped or scrapped in a while. Join me on this creative journey.

Cool Coaster Project

I am really excited about this new project. This project would be perfect for a 1 year old's birthday present. I don't know about you but my family does not live close by. We are in Maryland and my Mom and one sister live in Massachusetts and the other is in Connecticut. I worry sometimes that Elias will not recognize his aunts, uncles and cousins so I came up with this project. I started with my new Elemental Doodles round coasters. I covered them with designer paper from K&Company. On the front side I used chipboard letters that spelled out his name. I inked them with Taken With Teal. I then stamped five things that started with each letter and adhered them to the front. On the backside I used my circle cutter to cut five photos that had family members in them. I used my photo safe pen to write on them to identify each person. I attached each circle onto a large jump ring, my thought is he can carry it with him and look at it in the car or in his stroller. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

This would also be a great grandparent's gift. I might have to use this idea for my mom (she's in FL). She doesn't get to see the grandbabies too often and this would be perfect to plop inside her purse.

This is an excellent idea :) I love the concept of having it on a ring or something so you could actually clip it in place or over a string that is tied on or something so it won't get lost! Wonderful project!

What a wonderful idea! Being on a ring makes it easy for little hands to turn the pages too.
