About Me

I am Sarah, a stay at home mom of two wonderful, little boys. In my life before kids I was a fifth grade teacher. I now work with first year teachers, which I love. Creating is one of the ways I stay sane. I become very cranky if I have not stamped or scrapped in a while. Join me on this creative journey.

Fourth of July Door Hanger

I have to start with I am so excited about this project. I don't usually think that much outside the box, but one night I was sitting paying the bills and I looked up at my bulletin board. I have this neat 6 pointed start that got me thinking. I wanted to use my new Scor-Pal and my new Elemental Doodle stamps and make something a little bit different. That is how I came up with this door hanger. The first photo shows it being hung outside but then I thought I would try it above our mantel inside. The next two photos show some detail. I started out with a star template that I traced onto the cardstock. I then stamped my images using Real Red, Brilliant Blue and Whisper White. I cut out the starts, I then scored each star at 15 times (at each point and valley) I attached three starts together with brads. I then bought some thin wire and hot glued the back of the star to the wire. How fun is that? If you need more detail just let me know. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by,

I think this would be pretty neat just plain, but what detail you added with all that stamping. Very nice decoration.
