I am Sarah, a stay at home mom of two wonderful, little boys. In my life before kids I was a fifth grade teacher. I now work with first year teachers, which I love. Creating is one of the ways I stay sane. I become very cranky if I have not stamped or scrapped in a while. Join me on this creative journey.

Papertrey Blog Hop

May is the month when many flowers finally go into full bloom after a long winter's sleep. For the blog hop this month we want to see your favorite take on flowers. You can stamp backgrounds, create custom floral embellishments, showcase unique flower center additions or anything else you can dream up

I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to do for this month's Papertrey's Blog Hop. I like flowers but I find them to be a challenge to stamp. My biggest issue is to not have them floating on the card but to ground them somehow. I do like how this turned out. I also dug out the colored pencils to color the flower in. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

This is a very striking card. The green really pops and makes the flower stand out.

Beautiful! A great job in colouring, and I think you did a perfect job in grounding it by utilizing that mat.
